5finity Productions (the folks who do Zombies vs Cheerleaders) is doing a couple of books of Cherry pinups done by artists other than myself, but I have to do the covers. Started out this one trying to do a Wally Wood style space ship interior with the big porthole window that’s now heart-shaped. His space ships were based on WWII bombers, so I thought I would update it a little, being as how there are actual space ships now, did the Google image search for the ISS, all these astronauts are sitting, OK, floating, around in shorts & T shirts, I’ve got Cherry in her space suit inside the station, so I took off her helmet & jetpack, let her hair loose. Wonder what she’s planning on doing with that monkey wrench. Someone else is doing the color, I’m still learning digital painting & I can’t run the current version of Adobe Photoshop (or any of the apps in Adobe Creative Cloud that I’m paying all this money for) on this Mac; it’s so old. Fuck Steve Jobs. Fuck Adobe.

Finally Googled Lizard People, aww Jeez, now I have to reconfigure them in this story. I may have heard of David Icke before but I didn’t pay attention, y’know, ADD & all, but this is better than what I got going – where they just wanna kill Cherry ’cause Love & Joy are bad for the business of Hate & Fear; turns out they need human blood to continue existing in this dimension & menstrual blood is better, but the very best is the menstrual blood of the High Priestess, well, Cherry is the Goddess of Love, that’s close enough, so they don’t want her dead, they want to, need to, suck her pussy! So they can continue their important work of enslaving Humanity.

Gotta do a better cover for #24 than I did for #23. Maybe something like this. Love Goddess in a showdown with the Powers That Be in the mean streets. There should be a sign: Mean Street. Should be her people behind her with all their signs & giant puppets & angry feminists, she’s facing the cops; maybe on the back cover have her facing the other way, with all the cops, robots, angry politicians, drones, Apache helicopters & shit coming at her. Oh, & police barricades don’t look like that; can make an interesting composition with them. Single point perspective coming from her pussy. Maybe have the bolts of energy coming out of there. I dunno.
